Due to the current seriousness of the COVID-19 Pandemic the Bridgeport Public Library will be temporarily reducing public hours at all BPL locations, effective Monday, January 10th.
We regret having to make this change but the safety of both our patrons and staff remains our primary concern.
Sincerely, Elaine Braithwaite City Librarian
Walk-ins welcome, no appointment needed.
Booster Shots offered to all who are eligible.
Due to the spikes in the Omicron variant as well as Delta and the original COVID 19, BPL has made the tough decision to cancel all in-person programming for the time being. We hope that you will join us for the online programs we will be offering on Facebook Live, Zoom and other platforms. Check out the calendar for updates.
Let’s hope this is just a short term situation.
Be well. Your BPL staff.

The Bridgeport Public Library is working to help build consumer awareness about the Emergency Broadband Benefit, a new Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program. The temporary benefit will help to lower the cost of broadband service for eligible households during the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
A partir del 12 de mayo de 2021, los hogares elegibles podrán inscribirse en el programa, para recibir un descuento mensual en el precio de su servicio de Internet contratado a un proveedor participante.
