We Rise: Sharing the Black Experience through Literature

Words have power! From W.E.B. DuBois to Kendrick Lamar, or Phillis Wheatley to Amanda Gorman, Black authors have written powerful words of strength, resistance, and inspiration. Why not share some of your favorites with us? Come to the Teen Room and bring your favorite poem or passage from a Black author to share out loud. Original works are also welcome.
