Anansi the Trickster Spider: A West African Tale.

In this interactive show, Anansi manages to trick the various animals of the jungle and retrieve the stolen stories from Nyame- the greedy sky god of the Ashanti people. Through the pre-performance workshop, children become village dancers, monkeys, elephants, hippos, bees, crocodiles, spiders and more learning songs, chants and movement to perform in the show.

Join us for the workshop at 5:00 where you will become part of tonight’s performance! At 6:30, let the show begin!

Grumbling Gryphons is renowned for its fantastic masks and captivating costumes, made by Ellen Moon of Cornwall, CT, and for its innovative interaction with children. Grumbling Gryphons has been performing in schools, museums, libraries, and festivals throughout the United States since 1980.
