Teen Read Week: Cool scavenger hunt activities!!
Join us as we “Seek the Unknown” learning to Letterbox and Geocache.
Letterboxing is quickly becoming a favorite outdoor activity in America as it has been in England. The idea is going on a treasure hunt with a purpose. Participants create code names that are used when they locate and leave their stamp on a notebook located in a hidden letterbox. Most players carry their own stamp and notebook so they can maintain personal records.
You will learn:

- Rubber stamp making
- Letterbox Searching
Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. A limited number of GPS devices will be available for practice in the Teen Café.
