The Bridgeport History Center offers image reproduction services for both private and commercial use. Please be aware that the Bridgeport History Center does not necessarily hold copyright on donated photographs and other copyright restricted materials. Researchers are responsible for obtaining the appropriate permission and are responsible for conforming to the laws of libel, copyright, and literary property rights. Reproduction for the purpose of publication is subject to the approval of a completed application to reproduce/publish form by the BHC.
Researchers may be asked by BHC staff members to submit an application form for other uses if the item to be copied is rare, if distribution of the reproduction is of concern, or simply for documentation of the collection activity. Photo or digital reproduction of the archival collections is done onsite. Both types of reproduction are subject to fees. All fees, restrictions and completion dates for these formats are determined by the outsourcing agency. Reproduction of materials, whether it is photographic, digital, or tape duplication, may be subject to approval of a completed application form.
For our full image policy, please see below.
CONDITIONS GOVERNING THE REPRODUCTION OF IMAGES
Objects in the Bridgeport History Center’s collections shall not be reproduced in any way without the prior written consent of an officer of the History Center.

The image must be reproduced in its entirety unless express permission is given to crop or to print details, which must be appropriately identified. Nothing may be superimposed on the image.
All reproductions shall bear the following credit line:
