Genealogy
Genealogy is the Bridgeport History Center’s most popular research topic year in, year out. To help guide our users through genealogy research, we have a dedicated section to help explain what the Bridgeport History Center has and how we can help you start or continue your research.
Grassroots Historians
The Grassroots Historians program is a unique initiative run by the Bridgeport History Center. It hosts local historians, academics, and community members and frequent users of the collections, and invites them to write essays using material they’ve viewed at the Center. Each writer presents an interpretation or point of view, while providing researchers with substantial information on a Bridgeport topic. You can look at articles by topic or by author.
Research Guides
Meant to provide context heavy descriptions of resources, the research guides at the Bridgeport History Center list the available books, archival collections, periodicals, and other resources for popular topics.
