Saturday, January 4
2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Do you have Afro-Caribbean roots?  Caribbean-born Sandra Taitt-Eaddy is a distinguished genealogist with over 20 years of experience in Afro-American and Caribbean genealogy. Her work includes renowned projects such as Finding Your Roots and Who Do You Think You Are?

She has spoken at the African American History and Genealogical Society (AAHGS) National Conference led workshops for the New England Historic Genealogical Society, Connecticut Museum for History and Culture, the New York Public Library System, the University of the West Indies, Asociación Caribeña de Cuba, and communities across the diaspora. Her journey began with a personal family discovery inspired by Roots, igniting a lifelong passion for genealogy and a commitment to helping others uncover their heritage. During her lecture, Eaddy will share essential records, research techniques, and the importance of oral traditions, providing social history context to help each of us connect with our family stories.
