About the Beardsley Branch Library
Welcome to your new community library! We officially opened our doors on April 22, 2023, and are proud to be the sixth branch of the Bridgeport Public Library system.
We’re thrilled to offer a welcoming and vibrant space for people of all ages and interests. The children’s area is filled with engaging books and literacy resources, while the teen space provides a modern environment for reading and socializing. In the reading area, you’ll find a diverse selection of the latest fiction and nonfiction titles. If we don’t have a book you need, our librarians can request it from other Bridgeport libraries.
We also understand the importance of staying connected in today’s world, which is why we’ve included state-of-the-art Podcast Studios in our space. These studios are available to patrons free of charge, giving you the opportunity to record your own podcasts in a professional setting. Likewise, our branch offers a spacious community room and a dedicated collaboration hub, both available for use by local nonprofit organizations. These versatile spaces provide the perfect setting for meetings, events, and collaborative efforts that support our community. Two private study rooms also provide excellent spaces for focused study or work. Lastly, with plenty of computers to choose from and fast, free Wi-Fi throughout the library, you can get your work done, stream, or just browse with ease.
