About Burroughs-Saden Library

Welcome to the Burroughs-Saden Library located in the heart of Bridgeport at 925 Broad Street. The Burroughs-Saden Library is the city’s main branch and a place where people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds come together. Through our collections, programs, and services, we aim to preserve history, support learning, and inspire creativity.

We are home to four public service departments: Adult Services, Youth Services, Circulation, and the Bridgeport History Center, along with the New Bridgeport Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (BCIE), where future entrepreneurs can collaborate and grow. Our staff is dedicated to providing a welcoming, safe space that strengthens community connections and encourages lifelong learning.

  • Enrichment programs for all ages

Bridgeport Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (BCIE)

  • Support from SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives)
  • 3D printing and makerspace tools
  • Business accelerator programs and speaker events
