Toy Library Launch
We’re excited to announce the launch of our new Toy Library at Burroughs-Saden Library! Join us on August 13 at 3:00 p.m. to celebrate the grand opening and stay for garden-themed stories and a yummy treat. And there’s more exciting news… the North Branch Library Toy Library collection will be available soon!
The Bridgeport Public Library will officially launch its Toy Library on Thursday, August 13, at 3 p.m. at the Burroughs-Saden Library. The celebration will include a special storytime with an edible hands-on activity, giving families the opportunity to explore the collection and discover items they can borrow to enjoy at home.
The Toy Library features a diverse selection of educational, creative, and interactive toys designed to support learning through play and make enriching experiences more accessible to local families. The collection will debut at the North Branch Library the following week.
Adult BPL cardholders may borrow up to two items at a time for a seven-day loan period, with the option to renew up to two times.
The Toy Library was made possible with the assistance of Traveling Toys. and the support of donors Jean and Bruce Weiner. Traveling Toys partnered with BPL to help bring the program to the community and expand access to play-based learning resources.
