A memorabilia exhibit at the Bridgeport Public Library
Description:
Black and white photograph showing a memorabilia exhibit in the Circulation Department at the Bridgeport Public Library at 925 Broad Street. Included in the display case are: dolls representing the U.S. Civil War period; a set of English dinnerware and a breakfast set both from 1790; a tea set and pewter from 1880; and, on top of the case four small books published in 1800. The objects were the property of Miss M. Dotten Gros Claude, the Librarian of the Picture Room. This was part of the Tercentenary Exhibit of 1936 commemorating the founding of Connecticut.
