S-64 "Skycrane." (First flight - May 9, 1962) The western world's largest helicopter was powered by two 3,200 shp Pratt & Whitney turbine engines, with a military rating of 4,050 shp each. Three world altitude records for helicopters were claimed by the Skycrane on April 24, 1965.
