S-44 "Excambian". In 1937, this 40-passenger flying boat was the world's longest range commercial aircraft. The S-44 was the only aircraft prior to the end of WWII to have flown non-stop commercial scheduled flights across the North and South Atlantic. This aircraft is now being restored to its original state by a dedicated group of volunteers.
