Book Discussion: On Juneteeth by Annette Gordon-Reed

Black Rock Library will offer patrons a chance to discuss Pulitzer Prize-winner Gordon-Reed’s meditation on Juneteenth and its meaning to every American.

Part American history, part family chronicle, part memoir, Gordon-Reed, recounts the origins of Juneteenth and explores the legacies of the holiday that remain with us.

This program will be live in our secondary community room.

There are seven books available in the Bridgeport system and you are invited to put a hold on a copy.
