Join Fairfield University Professor of English Dr. Richard J. Regan for a fascinating look at Shakespeare’s portrayal of women.

Shakespeare’s portraits of women span an astonishing variety of perspectives. They are idealized heroines of romantic comedy, tragic victims, monsters and redeemers.  This multimedia presentation will follow some of the main portraits of women through video clips and commentary. Questions and dialogue are welcomed.

Richard Regan teaches Shakespeare using multimedia presentations both in the classroom and online. He has developed streaming video protocols for distance learning and also introduced video downloading from iTunes University to the study of Shakespeare. His work with educational technology includes online courses in Composition as well as a Bring-Your-Own-Laptop program for conventional classes. He is currently developing multimedia classrooms and a protocol for recording and podcasting classes.

Dr. Regan is a past recipient of Distinguished Teaching Award, College of Arts and Sciences, Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT.
