Author Kenneth Passan will be at the Black Rock Branch to discuss and sign his book Forensics and the Violent Criminal Mind.

The book includes the basics of forensics, violent crimes and what happens after an arrest. There also are chapters about victimology so readers can decrease their risk of being the victim of a violent crime.

Mr. Passan is a former FBI fingerprint examiner, former police and correctional officer and is currently a forensic registered nurse. He has  3 college degrees: AS in nursing, BS in sociology and criminology, and Masters in Forensic Science.

From the author: “I’m hoping people will learn something from the book, even if it’s just to safeguard themselves and realizing the world is becoming more dangerous. What we perceive as a safe neighborhood is more dangerous than we think.”
