Museum Passes

Get free or discounted admission to selected museums and cultural sites, with your Connecticut Public Library card! Passes are available on a first come first served basis at children’s circulation desks of all of our five locations. Passes circulate for 3 days. We recommend to contact your branch first for availability. A fine of $5 per day is charged if passes are returned late. Please note: the 3 day loan period does not apply to Westport Country Playhouse passes (they do not require returns).

PASSES AVAILABLE AT THE BPL:

Beardsley ZOO: Use this pass for free admission for 2 adults and 6 children. Limited to one family per day.

Connecticut’s Old State House: This pass allows free admission up to four visitors.

Earthplace: This pass entitles the bearer and up to five guests entry into the outdoor Connecticut Birds of Prey exhibit, Animal Hall and Natureplace. Explore 62-acre wildlife sanctuary, with a variety of habitats including fields, forests, ponds, and a stream. The sanctuary is crisscrossed by roughly two miles of trails, including the Discover trail which is wheelchair-accessible.

SHU Discovery Science Center and Planetarium: This pass allows free admission up to 4 children (under 18) with one paid adult admission.

Stepping Stones Museum for Children: This pass entitles holder to one free admission with each purchase of one admission at regular price. Maximum 3 free admissions per pass, per day.

Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art: Use this pass for free general museum admission for two adults, age 18 and up. Youth ages 17 and under are free.
