Davidson’s Fabrics and Selma Miriam: A Tradition in Textiles

Saturday, November 7
3:30 pm - 5:00 pm

Explore the history of Davidson’s Fabrics, Bridgeport’s storied fabrics store on Main Street founded by Elias “Alex” Davidson in 1935. Davidson built a business with his expertise in and love of textiles. His daughter, Selma (owner of Bloodroot Vegetarian Restaurant), carries on that family tradition with her master weaving, knitting, and sewing. Examples of Selma’s spectacular work are on display for all to enjoy.
