This brand new show comes to the Playhouse on the Green for one performance on Wednesday July 1, 2009 at 6:30 pm.

What happens to litter when you throw it away? Find out in a fantastical show about a young man’s dream of sea turtles and other creatures of the deep. Incorporating mime, puppetry, music and storytelling, this new production from Purple Rock will delight viewers of all ages.

We have Saturday morning story hours and Movie Matinees each week.

Wednesdays offer different adventures including Games Night, Drop In Crafts, and special events like puppet shows, a Mother’s Day Tea, and Wii Wednesdays.

Now your library never closes! Downloadable eAudiobooks are now available at the Bridgeport Public Library. Choose from over 1,800 eAudiobook titles to download and play on any desktop, laptop or portable device.
To get started get out your Bridgeport Public Library Card and click on the link above. Enter your library card number and hit “LOGIN”. At the top of the next page, to the far right, you will click on “Create a New Account.” You will create a username and password. Once you have your account you will be able to search for eAudio Books to listen to on your computer or from your MP3 player. (Note: At present the Apple Ipod is not part of this program but will be in the near future.) Free of charge to Bridgeport citizens who have a library card, Mango Languages is a welcome addition to the library for those wanting to study a foreign language easily and at their own pace. Providing an easy-to-use interactive learning tool, Mango Languages allows remote online access to patrons to learn at their convenience. Mango also features a unique comprehensive teaching approach that actively engages audio and visual cues to assist users in language retention.
